Any ideas where to start with this issue. For the last few months I have intermittant problems accessing websites. It happens with all PC's on the network. All other protocols work fine during the periods when web access is down. I want to call Comcast but their lack of intelligent support is keeping me from contacting them. Could it be the modem, the router, or something else?

I have Comcast for my ISP. All machines run Windows 2000 SP4. All issues have been with http, never FTP or any other network access. Router is an SMC barricade.

Thanks for any help!

First off...try conneting without the router.
If you're still having problems, I'd try a different OS. If the PC's are all the same hardware config (NIC's) I'd try switchin those just to be sure, too...
If both OS's have problems - its def an ISP issue.
If your issues stop when you don't use the router...then its prob your router....thats a couple of the 1st things i'd do..
