Constantly dry lips

pontifex

Lifer
I hate when it starts getting cold. My lips are constantly dry and end up cracking, which becomes painful.

Any cures or remedies? *

the chapstick/blistex stuff doesn't help, or only help for maybe 30 minutes and then my lips are back to being dry again.

Clear up your sinuses. You are breathing too much out of your mouth.

i do have sinus problems practically year round.

This will work.

Before bed, take olive oil and sugar to make a paste. While the sugar is still not melted, put it on your lips. apply in circular motions for about 30 seconds.
rise off with a warm cloth. afterward, apply petrolium jelly and go to sleep.

Me too. The doc prescribed me some stuff that I spray up my nose and its helping a ton.

i've posted this before, but my doc claims chapstick actually dries your lips out.

i would use good ole vaseline or bag balm to get rid of persistent chapped lips.
