Constant Network Drops..

I have a wireless network. The main computer is connected to the BEFW11S4
Wireless-B Broadband Router. Then, I have two computers connected by a Linksys Wireless USB adapter and a D-Link USB adapter.. problem is that at least once a day the whole network goes down and I have to go downstairs to the actual router and do a "router reset"... IE shut off the main computer.. shut off the cable modem, unplug the router.. replug cable modem.. replug router, turn on computer, and it works fine. I swear I have to do this at least once or twice a day.

Anybody have a clue whats wrong?

How do you say.. normal? Is it normal for this specific router? Is it normal in general? How would I be able to fix it? It's really annoying.

I have the WRT54G and mine hasn't been restarted for probably a month. It will drop the connection about once a week but that is it.

dcpsoguy, I have the same problem, minus the D-Link USB adapter. This is very frustrating for me and my fiance. I have flashed the firmware on the BEFW11s4 router to the latest firmware and I also have the latest drivers for the WUSB11 wireless adapter. Everything is setup correctly, I know this because I have the EXACT same setup at my house and mine runs just fine, no hiccups. My fiances network is the one with the trouble.
I just don't see any reason for the frequent network drops.

Someone please help dcpsoguy & me.

Update to the latest firmware for the router, change the wireless channel to avoid interference, turn off encryption(if you know and accept the implications of this), update Windows XP to SP2 and use it's built in wireless manager instead of your adapters' manufacturer supplied utility.

OK, I think I fixed it. I cloned my MAC address and everything appears to be working okay.

Cruzer, thanks for the tips. I did all that you had mentioned except using Windows built in wireless manager. If all else fails, I will give that a try.
