As it turns out, she indeed screwed up badly at trial. There's a rule that says you have to make an objection on the record at trial in order to preserve the matter for appeal.

Me shedding tears at Turnip's misfortunes.

Doesn’t this just open up an appeal based upon his lawyer being grossly incompetent?
I mean, she wasn't a public defender, and he had the option at any point during trial to replace her. I can't imagine it's generally accepted to call mulligan for any case you lose just because you think (or even others think) the council you selected sucks.

If that was the case you'd never get guilty verdicts.

Should also be mentioned here that ineffective assistance of counsel is unavailable as a ground for appeal in civil cases, at least in the majority of states and I believe in the federal system. IAC is available in criminal cases because the 6A guarantees a right to counsel, which has been interpreted as a right to effective counsel. But that has no application in civil court.

Trump's only remedy is to sue Habba for malpractice, though I doubt her insurance would cover but a fraction of this verdict.

This is what happens when you choose your lawyer based on looks instead of skill and experience.

Another one here's that Habba won't be solving with her IQ.. but the people here might have fun with:

No body in their right minds would take his cases.

Habba might have a shot if she were to start a new law firm named Habba, Dunning & Krueger.

"…,one of the most partisan and out of control activists that I have ever appeared before."

😛

I wonder if Trump realizes that his experiences with the judicial branch have more commonality with mob bosses than with the average voter.

Better, that's at least a format that serves a purpose other than saving chalk.

That'd have to be e88 though right? For the two sticks anyhow.
Engineering notation was invented to display large numbers on early computers, calculators, and other devices with tiny displays. Until I looked it up, I thought it was older than that. It's also useful in hammering home the importance of significant digits.

No, one stick moves from the 5 to the middle 0 and the other moves to form the leg on the F.

Sidenote: Found while looking for other, bigger numbers:

Oh duh, my brain was seeing a 6 over there.

If we cheat hard enough we can turn this into a formula, like 5*M/11*8 (nobody said i can't break the sticks)

no but you can only move 2!

I didn't think of 9e8 but I knew the value and it worked with moving only 2..
