I'm sure that declining sales have nothing to do with the high unemployment rate and foreclosure rates. :rolleyes:

Oddly enough, the gaming industry as a whole has done pretty well in spite of the economy. There have been a few developers with layoffs and whatnot, but that can be attributed to poor quality products as much as economic downturn. I guess people take solace in gaming when everything else is crappy.

If the original goal was to get consoles out there so money could be made off the software and services, then phase 1 should be considered complete.

Yeah during the big economy downturn that happened a couple of years ago gaming was one of the few industries that didn't do too badly.

People like to escape from their shitty world into awesome virtual ones :p.
