Console Exclusives

Is there a list of ALL console exclusives that isn't 2 years old for theis gen of consoles?
360 and PS3 really.

Umm... the Wikipedia list of all Xbox games notes whether the game is or isn't exclusive. I assume a comparable list exists for PS3 games, too. I believe you can filter the Wikipedia lists by release date, too.

Yeah, Wiki has lists. Here are two PS3 examples:

PS3 Exclusive List

The first list can be sorted multiple ways and includes dates. The second list is just contains exclusives, but there are no dates on that page.

I can't vouch for the accuracy of either list though. The games listed seem largely correct, but it's obvious no one is maintaining those pages 100% accurately. For example, the first link shows Wipeout HD as being "unreleased" in North America when it has actually been out for over a year.

I guess these numbers speak to the fact that Sony does not release their exlusives to PC. MS, supports windows / xbox 360 so many of their exclusives go to PC eventually. If you don't look at PC exclusives would look like this:

194 xbox 360
169 ps3

It is kind of interesting to see which games support trophies. For example, I was surprised to see that until the 2010 edition... Madden never supported trophies??

uncharted 2

i just named 10 ps3 console exclusives...

On the Wiki lists "console exclusive" means the game only appears on one console, but is also available on PC. Most of the games you listed fall into the 160 number... except I'm not sure why you have SFIV in there.

well that is a wrong definition of "console" exclusive lol.

a "console exclusive" is a game that exists ONLY on that one console and NOT on PC.

at least that is how i've always heard it, so that was where my confusion was.

I agree... I have no idea why wiki lists it like that.

I've always understood "console exclusive" to mean a game that is available on only one console but could be available on PC. As opposed to an exclusive, which is on only one platform.

Otherwise what is the distinction between an exclusive and a console exclusive? If there's no distinction, why use the extra word?

To people who don't play games on their PCs, the category of games that are only available on one console is useful to know about.

SF4 is out for the PC. Its $30 on steam right now.
