Not having much luck troubleshooting this one.

Right now to power a 3-monitor setup (1 3007FP and 2 2001FP's), I have a GeForce 7900GTO and a Quadro 285. Very frequently when I try to boot this setup, I get crashes that appear related to the video cards (when I boot into safe mode and delete Nvidia drivers then run drivercleaner, the computer starts up fine the next time around).

I'm wondering if anyone knows if there should be a problem mixing the Quadros with the GeForce -- I'm at my wit's end here and am ready to go buy a new video card to replace the Quadro, but I want to make sure that I'm not just mindlessly throwing money at the problem.

I've tried having only one forceware set of drivers installed, and also having one set of drivers for the Quadro and another for the GeForce. Both solutions have seemed to have problems.

Any advice would be appreciated -- I know the problem isn't very well specified at this point but I'm having a tough time troubleshooting it with much detail.

I'm guessing the GeForce drivers don't cope with the Quadro or its drivers very well.

The BSOD has to do with nv4_disp, FWIW. I'm uninstalling drivers and trying one more reinstallation of the Forcewares (93.71's) right now. :(

Anyone have recommendations for a new video card to go with? I don't want to spend a ton and don't currently do much gaming, so SLI really isn't much of a concern. Needs to be Dual DVI to support the 2 2001FP's.
