Consistent Error when Windows XP Loads - Please help!

I am running Windows XP Professional and whenever I start the computer I get the message:

Windows has recovered from a serious error. (Microsoft has no information on the problem btw)

The event log viewer has the following event:

The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x1000008e (0xc0000005, 0xf896c2d1, 0xb9dc9788, 0x00000000). A dump was saved in: C:\WINDOWS\Minidump\Mini020902-05.dmp.

For more information, see Help and Support Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.

I have tried running dumpchk but it cant open any of the memory dumps. I am not sure what to do since it keeps happenning. Didn't install or change any hardware and I can't figure out what's going on. Read on some site that removing the pagefile.sys and recreating it fixed it but I did that and had no luck.

Any help would be appreciated!

I had that problem while back and I never did really find the cause so it could be drivers or anything, anyway what I did was disable all error reports including critical ones and after about 3 weeks I renabled the error reports etc and those "recovered from serious error" issues had gone.

Since then it has been rock stable 🙂.
