You can buy a refurbished Pro with all accessories for like $100 on ebay. If you can afford to spend that much, there really is no downside, aside from the additional $40 a year for Live. It plays games. You play games. Your PC plays games. No real downsides.

Do these come with a warranty? I've been wanting to get one but I'm not sure if I should go new or used.

I would definitely vote yes. My wife and I use it every day....whether it is playing games, watching movies from digitized DVD collection, or watching programs over Netflix. If it died tomorrow...I'd immediately buy a new one.

Yes?

No?

After all the feedback I will buy one. Now I just need to sell that Wii and figure out which version of the 360 and where to buy.

Thanks for all the input!

That's one of the most intelligent things I've ever seen posted on the forums.

Buy the new $300 120 GB Elite.

I would get the Elite with the Jasper or get the Arcade and pop in a 20GB drive if you want to save some $. I was going to do that but just paid the $299 for the Elite. I'm glad I did because the DVD drive is extremely loud if you don't install the games to the HDD.

Thinking about selling my Wii and buying a 360 instead. FYI, I have a computer that can play any game out on max or near max settings.

What compelling reasoning can I come up with to justify this purchase? 🙂

So far I have:
1. Multiplayer games with friends
2. Media center
3. I want one

Any other compelling reason to buy a 360 when I can just buy games for my computer instead?

After buying a 360 and PS3... I have played games on my computer only once (for Empire total war).... Computer gaming became too tedious for me.... I don't have time to constantly upgrade... check drivers... download patches, etc... I can I just choose not too any longer unless it's total war 🙂

Get a 360 they're great... I game 95% of the time on my 360 5% PS3.
