Considering my option if I want to upgrade now.

Right now I am using a galaxy s4 and want to opt for a phone with a bigger screen. I been heavily considering a phone with a bigger screen and have decided on the galaxy note 4.

Not sure if I should wait or just upgrade right now.

The galaxy s6 doesn't seem so attractive to me no more since they took off the remmovable battery option and the micro sd card expansion slot.

I went /w the Note 4 when I had the same option as you. I've been very happy /w it. I don't see anything new coming down the pipe that is going to blow the Note 4 away anytime soon.

Other option is to wait for the Note 5, but you'll pay a nice premium for it when it first launches.

My wife's Note 4 is awesome. I think it is a great phone, the first completely non-compromise Android.

Is the galaxy note 4 slightly cheaper now than when it first launched? I am planning to upgrade through ATT next.

Get one used... Can get either the AT&T or a unlocked T-Mo one on swappa. Tho yes it is cheaper than when it launched. I have T-Mo where it splits the payments like that, but instead I just bought mine straight up which saves me $30 a month and I can sell it when I'm done.

I would do Next as well. ATT can be rather flexible with upgrades with contracts, though, depending on who you speak to.

Just buy a Note 4 from Swappa. They have been selling for under $500.

AT&T note 4 Is $825.99 off contract so divide that price by whatever Next plan you want to do and that is your monthly charge for the phone itself in addition to your plan. You do get a $25 discount off the monthly line charge if you use Next or BYOD.

With it being as close as it is to the new one coming out I'd go used with a 4 and if the new one has enough improvements to justify it then go with NEXT/contract upgrade.

Does a new model immediately drive down prices of the old one? If so, waiting might get a cheaper 4 with the option of paying more and getting a 5 if desired.
