I really haven't been in the portable mp3 game for a long time. I've been looking at broken Ipods lately though, I was thinking of buying a broken one to bring back to life. But they are still kind of expensive. So, I was wondering what you guys think are better alternatlives to Ipods. I really don't want to spend a lot of money, and I did find this. So if anyone has used that (if you didn't click the link, its an Entempo Spirit MP3 player) please let me know. I did some research on it and there wasn't great feedback about it, so I am kind of hesitant about getting it. I checked Ebay out, but I'm not sure. And I know that apple offers discounts to students who want to buy Ipods.
So please, tell me what you guys use.

Any features you like? Dont like?

Also do you need an FM tuner?

Right, FM tuner? Voice recording? What format is your songs in?, battery life an issue? HDD or Flash player?

Price range should be under $200, the larger size the better, and if it is smaller, I would like to be able to upgrade it, or plug in different flash drives. The features aren't too important, just a shuffle mode, decent interface, lcd screen. I dont need any FM tuners, voice recording would be a plus, but not a necessity. Flash would be preferred, since I would get too scared of dropping it and destroying the HDD (if that isn't a problem then let me know). And probably more fuscia or hot pink than anything else.

Flash players are usually limited to under 1 gig or lower. HDD drives are pretty resilient although you dont wanna take them jogging. For under 200 u can get a dell jukebox i think. 20 gigs, monotone(is that the right word?) color.

depends how much music you have. if you have 4gb or less, the mini would work fine.
