Conservatives: Stop warning people about ingesting/injecting disinfectants into themselves? Let this Trump recommendation play out?

JEDI

Lifer
I saw a Trump supporter on my Facebook neighborhood group post that we should let Trump's recommendation to ingest/inject themselves with disinfectants play out.

I'm like WTF?! has his acct been hacked?

He's under the belief that liberals would be stupid enough to believe what Trump said wasnt a joke.
thus there would be less liberals in the world if we stop with the warnings.

I'm thinking sure, let this social experiment play out.
I'm thinking more conservatives get hurt by this than liberals?

Your idiot Trump supporter is superseded by his own idiocy. Even his warped brain must know liberals don't trust Trump and know he is a serial liar.

At this point I'm recommending Trump supporters take Trump's advice over people like Dr. Fauci.

Well when Trump said what he said about injecting stuff like lysol and "internal" UV treatments he surely wasn't thinking about his follower's health and welfare. It's pretty obvious how his total focus is on getting reelected. The kicker here as in his past, every time he says some unscripted thing from the hip he's hurting himself more than anyone else.

The guy has managed to convince himself that he knows what's best on anything and everything that confronts him and his ego simply won't let that go. Sucks to be his advisers in this regard but hey, they must be getting what they wanted out of him so to hell with them too.

I have no dog in any political fight (politicians are politicians - by definition they're all corrupt). That said, it seems abjectly stupid for anyone (liberal or conservative) to assume Trump's suggestion was for Americans to inject bleach into their veins. Word games. A more logical reason for suggestion: a notional nod (dumb sounding as it was) for SMEs to consider the concept of injecting a "cleaner", to kill the virus. Some vitamins, minerals, and/or herbal medicines come to mind. It was an obvious gaffe that sounded stupid. Even more more stupid sounding was the follow up by the Trump haters.

I notice you carefully ignore the facts of the case, in order to put the best possible spin for Trump. But you have no 'dog in any political fight' (something that is only ever said by right-wingers).

You are assuming the words spoken by any POTUS do not matter. That is an incorrect and dangerous assumption. Off the cuff remarks by world leaders have led to wars.

You are absolving Trump for his stupidity

I think you need to watch the video of his quote again. He didnt recommend it to anyone. He asked a question. Can it safely be done.

If anyone is stupid enough to interprate it as a recommendation and actually do it, well...they deserve what they get.

Could you be less of an idiot?
Are you like this on purpose?
Could you start thinking for yourself and pull your head out of your arse?
Could you stop blowing truckers for a couple of dollars?

These are also just questions.

Many conservative media facilitators who make up lies to protect Trump claimed he didn't say what he said and got egg on their face when he said he said what he said but was being sarcastic. But it is very important to remember that just because you see Trump say something via fake news on TV doesn't really mean he said it. You have to keep in mind that you live in a free country and are free to believe what ever you want to believe. If you believe something about Trump and you tell yourself it is good and tomorrow he Trump reverses course and says it's bad you can either agree with the change or simply ignore the new information and continue to believe it's good and he never changed his mind. In a free country you have the right to always be right. Truth and facts and reality are for imbeciles. I am an ubermench.

Regardless of how badly you hate Trump and how evil the morons that support him are, neither he nor his supporters can be blamed for how they are. They are machines that are programmed with the human part of them sound asleep. To wish harm on them is to be like them.

You don't think world leaders need to be careful in how they communicate? Words from a POTUS don't matter? Is that what you are saying?

Wars have been fought over misunderstandings. How long will you continue to make excuses for this incompetent dirtbag? You may as well continue parroting how much of a great job he is doing.

BTW - Trump coming out the next day and claiming he was being sarcastic makes your first paragraph completely inoperative.

Dont get me wrong. It was a careless question for sure. But it was clearly that: a question, not a suggestion. So yes. Words matter, and in this case, paying attention to context.

I seen those LET IT PLAY OUT posts on FB from MANY of my Trumpie family members.
I DO HAVE A COME BACK, if anyone needs a comeback to these Trumpie morons.
Simply reply:
Poison Control must remind people not to ingest cleaning products to cure Covid-19 because those foolish enough to vote for Donald Trump may be foolish enough to believe Donald Trump.
You get the idea. And maybe others can word it better. I reluctantly use the word FOOLISH only to be kind where using much harsh wording would be more appropriate when addressing Trumpies. You may replace FOOLISH with words such as DUMB or IGNORANT or STUPID and my favorite INSANE.

"The disinfectant, where it knocks it out in a minute, and is there a way we can do something like that by injection inside, or almost a cleaning. It gets in the lungs"

You don't get to say "it's a question" when it's so badly structured that it's barely a sentence. It's neither a question nor a statement, it's barely-coherent rambling, but it's very clearly putting an idea out there. Furthermore, asking such a 'question' would be one thing if you were nobody of significance having a private conversation. It's quite another to ask it when you are the President, with the best scientific minds in the country at your disposal, at a briefling for the world's media, in the middle of a global crisis. That's your 'context'.

This is what all Trump apologists do. You come along and try to reinterpret or spin the rubbish he comes out with, because you know you can't defend it directly. It must be tiring.

Has anyone analysed Trump's weird speech patterns? Becuase there's something about the quote above that is very distinctive. It's like his brain, at least at certain times, can't encompass concepts in full, sufficient to build a real sentence around them. Rather, he just hits upon random half-thoughts, and utters each one in turn as they come into his head, without joining them up. Then the more articulate Trumpists come along and interpret it in the most defensible way they can manage, like soothsayers finding messages in the entrails of a goat.

PS... Having so many Trumpies within my family, tragic as that is, I do believe those family members are having mental issues of late. First, they are victim of Donald Trump's failed leadership during the pandemic. Second, they are stuck at home and struggling because of Donald Trump's failed leadership during the pandemic. Third, I have noticed that even my Trumpie family members are having a very hard time defending the idiocy of Donald Trump, but like so many of Trump's administration they too feel that they have no choice but to defend. Fourth, Trumpies defending Donald Trump has indeed entered a new twilight zone-like era because for them it is impossible to admit to themselves their huge mistake with voting for Trump in the first place. Like making a really bad decision then continuing to defend that poor decision because everyone is looking at you.
So.... I find the need to GO EASY on my Trumpie family members in this time of pandemic because THEY KNOW what they have done and I KNOW what they have done so as self proclaimed intelligent and educated people who voted for Donald Trump, my Trumpie family members find it terribly hard to admit their gross misjudgment. I.E. it is hard for them to admit they are NUTZ. So, I TRY to go easy on them. Even cult leader Jim Jones had educated intelligent loyal followers. Loyal right up to drinking the kool-aid.
