MAGA thought that once they destroyed the Woke Cathedral that they would enjoy cultural dominance as well as political popularity. lol
This seems like another case of them huffing their own farts. They seem to actually believe that liberals are more culturally powerful/popular because of some Elite Liberal Machine pushing liberal culture onto the unwilling masses and once they got rid of that everyone would change their mind.

In reality people just like it better and it's a ground up movement, not a top down one.

Yeah file it right next to "My kids have to talk to me again since Trump won the election".

My boomer MAGA acquaintances are growing increasingly dismayed in their utter lack of cultural victory. To believe that such a thing was even possible really shows how incredibly isolated they are in their information sphere. They lash out at anyone whose views are even mildly incongruent with theirs, so naturally the only people still willing to engage with them are like-minded lunatics.

Many of them are planning on fleeing to Tennessee, Florida, and northern Michigan because things are “more Christian” there. Apparently they have given up on trying to transform their home state into a Christo-facist white boomer utopia.

They just keep chugging booze on the daily and continue to turn to alternative medicines that only make them more crazy. They had a friend who was fighting cancer for years and ultimately decided to start taking ivermectin; shortly after beginning treatment, she woke up one day coughing blood and died later in the evening. I have no idea if it was the ivermectin (I assume it was just the progression of the cancer), but they are all convinced that it was the Keytruda that killed her and that the ivermectin kept her alive as long as possible. They still hail ivermectin as a miracle drug, along with salt crystals, proprietary elixirs, and every other batshit thing out there.

I know this is a rambling post, but the TLDR is that these people have not existed in the realm of reality for many years and they are literally dying because of it.

The whole 'silent majority' thing is absolutely an article of faith on the right. Especially among evangelicals they have no problem simultaneously believing their positions are shared by most Americans AND that evangelicals are an oppressed minority.

Being hypersensitive to their perceived enemies' criticisms is a sign of guilt IMO. A lot of conservatives must be aware of the damage to all of our lives that Trump is directly responsible for, yet they cling to Trump as if the suffering they feel while also witnessing the suffering of others due to Trump's incompetence, weird behavior and unabashed gross selfishness are acts of penance on their part. They are literally willing to take on Trump's egregious burdens and cop out by claiming victimhood as their defense against his/their detractors.

This topic is wild to me, as Bad Bunny is a 4th generation American, and his family has a longer American lineage than that of the president. Also, how do the majority of MAGA members not understand that PR is part of the US? I don't even understand the outrage.

Where was the misplaced outrage over: U2 (Ireland), Paul McCartney (UK), Rihanna (Barbados), Shakira (Colombia), The Rolling Stones (UK), Coldplay (UK), Shania Twain (Canada), The Weeknd (Canada), and Sting (UK)?

I thought they were unhappy because he's a cross dresser and doesn't sing in English?
