the conservative media in this country is hypocritical...analysts in particular.

They preach the reduction of governmental intrusion. They preach fiscal responsibility. Over the last six years the spending increases were passed by a conservative leaning legislature. Pork spending increased and taxes remained nearly the same for six years. There was very little effort to limit the size and scope of this government, and as a result the conservative media in this country has SAID NOTHING. They have taken five steps back, clinton this, clinton that...

The conservative media in this country has defended and continues to defend the actions of a congress which are doing the opposite that of which their philosophical ideals stand.

I'm appalled.

Any true fiscal conservative would vote libertarian. Any true social liberal would too.

spending goes up every year. increasing spending doesnt mean your fiscally irresponsible, spending more than you have does though. we have a HUGE surplus, democrats want to spend it, republicans want to give most of it back to the tax payers. how is this irresponsible?

Increasing spending while advocating a reduction in the size of the federal government is entirely hypocritical.

When the GOP tried to REDUCE THE RATE OF GROWTH of the government, the Dems and their willing tools in the media screamed that they were CUTTING the government and that children would starve and Grandma would be in the street eating dogfood.

When they tried to send control of the school lunch program back to the states (with NO REDUCTION in the dollar amount), the Dems raised unholy hell and lied some more.

After awhile, the GOP started acting like abused spouses (even though they alledgedly had control) and started caving in on principles right and left in hopes of buying the love of the media.

Well, it never happened and the Left loves it. Government gets bigger, freedom gets smaller, they run more of our lives AND, this is the best part, conservatives get pissed off and stop voting for the GOP. The moochers and unions stick together and vote themselves the honey pot and then give the rest of us the bill.

AmusedOne has it exactly right about Libertarians. When are you gonna wake up and support REAL choice?

And who signed those pork spending bills?

And why do you think taxes stayed the same? Maybe because congress knew the President wouldn't sign a bill that cut them?

Talk about conservative hypocrisy. When you get your refund back that your "conservative hypocrite" of a president/congress sends you, try to buy yourself a clue. ;)

heh, entire volumes of books could be written with examples of conservative hypocracy.

Especially dealing with the religious right.

Where did I specifically say that my conservative president was a hypocrite? I said that the conservatives in the media were hypocritical.

They're getting a bad name because they couldn't get a liberal President (Clinton) to pass a tax cut?

They are getting a bad name because of the pork they continue to support and their inability to follow through with promises.

I want limited government intrustion, I want lower taxes. Bill Clinton was a man of the polls. Had congress sent a 1.3 trillion dollar tax cut to his doorstep three or four times HE WOULD HAVE PASSED IT.

Just like welfare reform. Just like welfare reform.
