I don’t understand the free speech angle. At this very moment, I am sure you can find thousands of posts similar to this girl’s on social media. For whatever reason, the social media mob descended on her. Yes, she should have demonstrated more maturity and discretion. But I also feel that social media amplifies voices that don’t contribute to the overall societal conversation.

I doubt I would find much common political ground with her. I still don’t like that a social media mob weaponized the platform to harm her over what is nothing more than an immature and perhaps inappropriate statement.
