Consensus: Papa Roach - good, bad?

I haven't really listened to any other songs besides Last Resort which is a TOTALLY AWESOME song BTW.

 
I'm a little bummed by their persona. They look like the Back Street Boys from the wrong side of the tracks. I do like them however. Broken Home is also a cool song.

I saw them at their first "big" concert, in Moline, IL opening up for Korn.

They were ok. They're just a little too "punk-ish" for me. Last resort is pretty good, but most of their other stuff just isn't my style.

They did put on a pretty good show. They go the crowd going pretty good for being an opening band, and they work really well together as a live band. The lead singer really likes beating his mic against his too 🙂

If I was more into "punk rock" I'd probably really like them, but I'm more into the Pantera/Soul Fly/Machine Head scene.
 
I like some of their songs, (exclusive of Last Resort). *Any* song played on TRL CANNOT, I repeat CANNOT be considered good. (Well maybe for the first 2 times you hear it, it is)
 
Check out "Between Angels and Insects, Infest, Thrown Away, and their secret track, Tightrope" if you have only heard Broken Home and Last Resort.

They are pretty good, to tell the truth - lets hear more votes.
 
I bought the cd after only having heard Last Resort. At first I was kinda disappointed because the other songs weren't really anything like it, but after a little while i really started liking it.

And last resort still rules.
 
I'm a BSB, NSync, BS, CA, etc. fan myself and don't really like hard rock, punk, metal, that kind of music. But Last Resort is da bomb! POD's rock the party is another one of my other's favorites.
 
P.O.D. is changing the world. Finally a group in todays music that is popular, that isn't a bunch of drug addicted hooker bangin, gang rapin' punks.

It's an awesome song. Well, no. It's a okay song. The riff is awesome, even though it took me all of 5 minutes to learn. I love how it changes. And no, I don't mean from un-palm muted, to palmmuted.. He actually changes the beginning note each time 😉

That said, there isn't one "90s" band that I really get off on. They all suck. 😉 They can't sing. Wheres the riffs? Wheres the lyrics? Korn and Limp Bizkit are two of the worst, in my opinion.


I vote for.. Metallica. None of these bands even come close, in the slightest, IMHO. 😉 I'd like to see people mosh around to Creed.. LMAO...

Before I need to put my asbestos suite on, Everyone realize that everyones musical tastes are diffrent. Nobody is going to agree. But I'm totally open to debating bands on a musician level. 🙂
