Possibly July-August for oems, when they will be in the chain for retailers, no one knows yet.

If Intel is able to keep the pace of its traditional time-to-market tracks, then we should be seeing first Conroe systems in early September and Merom notebooks no later than in October of this year.

Intel spokesperson George Alfs noted that the launch date for Conroe, the desktop version, is currently slated for July

I spoke to intel directly about this a few weeks ago and the word from them was late August early september for you to be able to buy one though dell may have them in systems as early as July.

I'm just hoping that there's a half decent Merom tablet pc out before the end of the year, honestly..

.. or even a T2600 one that has a non-intel graphics chipset.. >_>;; I'm not aiming for battery life.
