How do you get that...I couldn't fid charts...

What I get of the french was that it was reception for the press and highlight was an INtel guy showing test results...

Did anyone once again get to look at the boxes or run a thorough test themselves?? NO!!!

Wait for the real deal when it is done by TechReport or Tomshardware!!!

"you can see that conroe finishes before the amd...amd should get around 220fps rather than 200 because its too hot...it is not suppose to happen but it happens..

we use the latest platform and we worked very hard so that no one has anything else to say"

Platform AMD
AMD FX-60@2.8
DFI ATI RD580
2-2-2-2 1T timings...i dont know why 2-2-2-2

Platform Conroe
Conroe @ 2.66
BADAXE motherboard
4-4-4-4...(???)

"conroe is a new architecture and it is the best that we did..and we can still tune it to make it better...so you can see that we have better performance that our competitor..

20%faster in quake, we didn't show the other numbers as they are superior like HL...it is the first machine that intel runs out against amd...and it is probably the last..."

It's pretty much the exact same thing as the Anandtech results.

He says that the Conroe is about 20% faster than the AMD, and the results come in as 280fps for the Conroe in the Quake benchmark and 201fps for the AMD @ 2.8 GHz . He says the AMD should be scoring around 220fps in the test but it's running too hot (which sounds like BS to me).

The systems are set at the best settings possible, eg. the Conroe is at 2.66 GHz, 4-4-4-4 timings, 2-2-2-2 timings (I think he means 4-4-4 and 2-2-2).

The (Intel) architecture is just starting out and we're going to continue to tweak it. The 20% increase in Quake is the most conservative estimate we have; other games show a bigger improvement.

well the fx60 at load puts out like 120watts. so it is possible i suppose. though if he used even the retail fan that should be easily taken care of.
