Nice. Really similar to modding other chips, but someone's gotta be the first to post one.

This is the solution that I need for my Asrock 775Dual-VSTA motherboard.

The guy that made this mod (Shamino) is also going to make pin mods for Pentium D's and 600 series soon. ;)

At least one person has already done the mod on a E6400 this is his feedback. ;)

just pinmode this cpu to 1.6v,i found this only useful when cpu voltage is set to normal ,if you set voltage to other value, this mod will become no use.
my bios displayed cpu normal voltage to 1.8v instead the old 1.325v,i will try 1.55v later

Whats the point, unless you get the Extreme Edition, the rest of the Conroe family is held back by the low FSB of the board, not the stock voltage...but then again, if you can afford the EE edition, I don't think you'd be pairing it up with a $50 motherboard...

I think that there maybe other board?s out there that have no voltage adjustments and more than 340 fsb bios that could benefit from this pin mod.

well, i bet the VSTA owners are hoping that a higher vcore might help in increasing the unstable fsb past 300+ fsb

Has anyone been brave enough to try this volt mod yet?

Does anyone know if the CPU pin's on Conroe?s and Pent D's form the same functions?

If the functions are the same then my Pentium D 805 should show the same voltage increases as the Conroe?s with the same volt mod?
