Don't know if AMD will delay their price cuts...hope not...hope they do not want to drop the price exactly when Conroe launches....
 
The launch never was on July 23. That's a Sunday!!

A major launch like this will be on a business day.

To my knowledge Intel hasn't publicly announced a specific launch date. All they're saying is July.
 
i wonder if inetls announced price-cuts will take place on 23rd.Cause thats the same day as when conroe was supposed to be released.
I wonder if intel is struggling to produce sufficient volumes of core 2 duos.?

7/23 was an Embargo date for the "official" press reviews, actual launch date is still under NDA.

Right, they ship it almost 3 weeks before the reviews hit the media. Doesnt make much sense.

Are there any good reviews that show high resolution (1900x1220, 2650x1600) gaming benchmarks with conroe vs athlon fx? I've just seen lower resolution comparisons.

I cant say I have seen any that high, but to be honest and fair when you do a cpu review you want lower resolutions to insure you are not gpu limited....

I think in some of the newer titles at those resolutions, were we not already gpu limited?? I think you are going to have to wait for more SLI and crossfire reviews to see that...
