Does intel new conroe use the same kind of fsb the penitum 4's used? or is using a new type of fsb?

Itaniums, Yonahs, Dothans, Netbursts and Conroes use the same FSB. I wouldn't say it's "the netburst fsb" as it is just the link to the chipset. You could make K7s with the same FSB, if you really wanted to.

Yes, it's still the same old FSB we've seen for years. Quad pumped, etc.

Luckly Conroe isn't bandwidth limited like the netburst chips were, so the 1066fsb keeps even the X6800 fed well. Even the latency is catching up to AMD's Hypertransport and on-die controller. Intel has really gotten a lot out of the old FSB.

P4: 200fsb > quadpumped 800mhz (extreme edition ones are 266fsb and 1066mhz)
conroe: 266fsb > quadpumped 1066mhz

but again clock for clock conroe has done soo much compare to net burst prolly 1.5 of netburst !!!
