Conroe benchmarks have no mention on temps

Wonder what they could look like, also a good indicator on possible overclockability. If it can maul an FX-62eq at <30*C then WOW, 30-45 would also be pretty impressive.

what does the temperature matter?, if it runs then who cares what temperature it is? It should probably be a little less then an X2 at the same clockspeed.

Tenperatures are only important for overclocking, and since Conroe puts out alot less heat then Presscot I would expect that overclocking will be more limited by architecture then by temperature.

Its a valid question, cooler CPUs should mean we could a apply some reasonable volts yet still maintain very quiet systems with some of these awesome CPU coolers that have come around thanks to a past trend of CPUs getting hotter and hotter.

If these early performance numbers are true, what better way to get people even more excited by showing them that not only are the CPUs faster, they have less cons, such as heat which leads to noise generated by fans cooling the hot processors.
