Just finished my build and am running Orthos now. AFter 1 hour still OK Max temp 58C (Big Typhoon). Bios 0711. Core at 1.375. XFS 7900GS at 600/800
Sandra is at 7400's and Super pi 1M ran at 18sec - not bad

Just curious whether others had those issues and of course the stop/start problem sometimes when changing FSBs or powering up. It has stopped now as I have left the FSB at 471
The question is at 471FSB I had to bump the PCI-e to about 114 to get 16X otherwise it drops back down to 1X. Why is that?
I thought from reading Anandtech review that mem speeds can be locked in at say DDR800 speeds rather than 942 as is now.

Otherwise no othe rissues - beginning to like this system over my Opty

Yeah thanks - I mut have misread Anandtech's review then.
0711 BIOS does not fix the stop restart issue - I am guessing a later bios will (already running 0711 - I usually flash to latest when my boards are up). My A8N-E has a similar problem in that it does not restart have to power off and then on - kind like a cold boot bug.
Still darn good board - running rock solid so far.
How about that PCI-E bug - anyone knows whats up with that (1X vs 16X)

Heck I got me another problem - Primary and secondary channel keeps appearing twice - one with exclamationn mark - I am going to go back in bios and set Jmicron to IDE instead of AHCI and see if that fixes it - otherwise Imay jus disable in Device Manager

Some additional notes
North Bridge runs at 61C full load - watch this. I decided to place a fan (the one included from Asus but not on the FINS direct on the NB at an angle) - load temps are now at 45C
Stop/start occurs when aggressive changes are made in BIOS e.g. to RAM speeds (tried Auto and manual or change CAS from 5 to 6 and encountered this issue even with 0711 bios)
No not working - Corsair XMS is definitely the problem with this system - wish there was a way NOT to run 1:1

I don't have any of these problems. And the issue where the board starts, powers off, then starts again IS fixed with the bios I listed. If that is not your problem then I can't help you.
