I have a problem that I don't understand. I have two computers both with dial up modems(in different rooms). One will get 50-51k connections everytime the other will get 33.6 most of the time. Even when I switch the modems the same thing happens. Is there a way to test the phone line to find out what the problem is?

I think you just did. -PAB

I meant to see if line noise is the problem, sorry guess I worded that poorly.

There's really not much to test.

Is this two separate phone lines, or two extensions of one line?

If it's two separate lines, you can eliminate internal wiring by testing from the dmarc box.

Other than that there just isn't much you can do.

Thanks Viper It is an extension of one line. So I am pretty much SOL then?
