Connection two computers to a printer

Well here is the problem. At work I have two computers, both plugged into the network. They are right next to eachother. I have one printer, plugged into my computer via usb. I was wondering if there is any way to have both computers connected to the printer. Maybe using a USB splitter if there is such a thing, or will the printer be dedected on local network. thanks!

Unless you have an ethernet-compatible printer, or want to try a USB-to-ethernet adapter, the standard way of sharing a USB printer is to install it on ONE of the networked PCs, tell that PC to SHARE the printer, and then access the shared printer from the network. The PC hosting the shared printer will need to be POWERED ON for other PCs to access the shared printer. Nobody need be logged onto the host PC, however.
