connection problem

I have a linksys befsr41 4-port router, with three computers connected to it (sharing a cable connection). for some reason, when connecting through the router, the internet doesnt work (i can connect to other computers through the router in the network), but when i disconnect the router and connect my computer directly to the cable modem, the internet works fine.

any ideas how to fix this?

can you ping the other comps on the network.

Are the computers getting the ip?

We need alot more info and you may want to take this to the networking forum.

put in 4.2.2.1 for the DNS when ur using the computers from behind the router. My non computer literate friends almost got tricked into paying for IP's when AT&T tried this
