Connection dropping on wireless lan

So I'm setting up this wireless network, one mac G5 w/ airport extreme connecting to Airport extreme base station, one HP pc also connecting to this station and one sony laptop pc connecting to the base station via cat5. So everything connects and works, except the HP pc will intermently drop the connection and allow you to reconnect after 2 minutes, then repeate the cycle. The distance between these computers and the base station is 15-20 feet at the most so I can't imagine it being distance/signal related. Any clues? Thanks.

ps- the pc is running XP

are you using any encryption?

sometimes, high encryption can bog down and stall the cpu in the routers causing drops in connection
i had problems with my cheap belkin router at 128bit encryption

If you are running encryption, make sure "Enable IEEE 802.1x authentication" isn't checked.
If you still have trouble, stop the Wireless Zero Config service. (Don't disable it, because it has to run just long enough to connect to the network. Just stop it once you're connected.)
