If they're stupid enough not to secure their connections, have fun. I'm thinking they wouldn't be smart enough to have a packet sniffer to trace you out.

If they have logging enabled (not usually on by default and i would guess most people don't know it's there) they will be able to see what sites are visited. I doubt that they would be able to get much more info than that from most wireless access points.

Hey wait a minute! Get off my network!

Linksys gets the job done and actually pretty well for home use.

linksys is the default for a linksys wireless device, it also says to change that....even better is to not broadcast.

Morally you are stealing their bandwidth, technically they are idiots.

Choose your own path, grasshopper.

Linksys is a router brand. Hehe, they didn't even change the default name...that shows a lot ;)

BTW, I don't use WEP, and I don't do anything fancy with my router? Why? I live in a mostly retired community :)

That's stupid, with that logic that would say that you would never use teh internet at school...or anywhere else other than your home for that matter

Maybe it's a honeypot and they're tracking every website you visit, grabbing every password that is used... :)
