Connecting notebook (wireless) to desktop (cable)

Guys, I am trying to transfer data between my desktop and my notebook. My desktop is connected to my wireless router (Motorola WR850G) by a CAT5 cable. My notebook is connected wirelessly. I am just trying to esteblish a "network", where I could browse one computer from the other. I could use a crossover cable, but I don't want to. I want to find out if this method is possible and see what I would need to get it running. Any ideas? Thanks in advance

Lukas

If you are connected to the same router then they ARE in a network together. There is no need to use a crossover cable. The only difference between wired and wireless is the medium which they use to connect to the network, they are not actually seperate networks. So all you need to do is share out what ever folders and devices that you want to share and go at it.
