Hi, all!
Dell recently upgraded me from the Inspiron 1545 (b/c a salesman lied to me and then was rude to me about it -- but it's a crappy computer anyway) to a Studio XPS system.
I was told, amongst the many lies they were making up for, that this computer can easily be hooked-up to my t.v. But, so far, no one at Dell can tell me how.
The computer: VGA, HDMI, and Display Port outputs.
Video Card: ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5730
TV: S-Video & RCA inputs
DVD/DVR: S-Video, RCA, Composite Video inputs
I was previously doing S-Video to S-video on my Toshiba Satellite, and had no problem with the video, although most people are pickier than me on this. It was good enough for just watching NetFlix movies or whatever.
Also, I have an adapter meant to unscramble video from store bought videos, and it's possible (but I'm not certain) it might be able to take RCA into one side and kick out S-video on the other. I've not put that to the test.
Found this item, but but am uncertain if it works on something that is NOT a Playstation (put in a call to the site's help line; am awaiting word).
Obviously, buying an expensive converter is not really what I'm looking to do.
That's all I got. Ideas would be appreciated. Thank you in advance!
