Connecting isloated networks to a shared DSL line?

Hey all, I'm researching the possibility of DSL for a shared-office situation. They are looking at a DSL line for the entire office, but the key is that each computer group must also remain isolated from the others. Several are just a single computer each, which would be simple enough to simply not enable file sharing, but others consist of several computers that need to share files and printers with each other, but NOT with the rest of the computers in the office.

What is the best (and lowest cost) solution for this situation? The extent of my knowledge is that I setup a shared DSL line with a Cisco 675 router for myself in the past, but that does not supply privacy from one computer to the other.

can't you just designate different "workgroup" names to the various "isolated networks" if you're using windows...

that would provide a casual isolation yes, but not really make things private, because anyone could simply click "Entire Network", find your workgroup, and go on in. You could assign passwords and such to the shared resources, but it would be preferred that others couldn't even see them exist at all.
