Connecting Ipod+HP to a MACINTOSH

Hi,

A client of mine bought an Apple Ipod 20Gig from HP, and there is no Mac software to run it on the enclosed CD. I went to www.apple.com, clicked support and download, and only found updates for Ipod firmware, and no drivers. Can someone share a link, and post it here?

Thanks!

Mac OS X should already have iTunes installed. Just plug in the iPod.

If iTunes was deleted for some reason, then download it at http://www.itunes.com

To update iTunes (or Mac OS X itself, or any Apple software you may have installed) select "Software Update" from under the Apple menu.

The most recent version of iTunes is 4.7. The most recent version of Mac OS X is 10.3.7. Note that if you're using version 10.2.x you can only freely upgrade to 10.2.8. But iTunes will work just fine with that version too! (Actually iPod+iTunes will work fine with the icky old 10.1 too)

Maybe the HP iPods are just crap, as is most other stuff from HP.

Doubt it. All they changed was the logo and the packaging.

All your friend needs is iTunes. itunes will update itself if necessary, but no drivers are required for the Mac.

The IPOD plus HP is identical hardware to the IPOD. I believe your problem is the HP version is formatted for windows. I believe you need to reformat the IPOD plus HP `s drive for the Mac. Look on Apples site for how to do this.
