Connecting an XP laptop to an Apple Airport

Hey whats up guys? I have a quick question in regard to a wireless network. Currently in my office I have one of those nifty Airport stations. The Powerbook G4 machines are able to see and connect to it without a hitch as planned. Recently I got a Windows XP laptop and was pondering about getting a hp/lucent 802.11b wireless lan pc card (128 bit) PCMIA card to attempt to connect to the network and surf the net.

Will this be able to connect to the Airport station? I'm assuming that the Airport is 802.11 compliant but I wanted to double check before spending money on a card. thx.

As long as they support the same encription you should be able to... I'm curious about that myself, i've always been a PC guy, but curious about Macs. wonder if a iMac with an airport card would connect to my netgear me102.

They use the same 802.11b standard. In fact, the Airport uses Lucent/Orinoco chipsets.

I use a ME102 with my iBook.
