First off: I've been lurking here for some time, and this forum appears to be very professional and helpful. Traits rarely seen in internet forums! It's good to be here.

Now, for my question...

I am considering the HP PSC950 4-in-1 "printer" which connects via USB only. I would like to connect it to my SMC router/WAP/print server which is parallel only. Is there a product that will allow me to connect the USB-only printer to the parallel-only router?

I know it's a long shot, but thought I'd ask.

Thanks.

I know that Canon used to make a cable like what you are talking about. It was used in the opposite direction though. It would take a parallel printer and plug it into a usb port. However, I am not sure if what you are looking for exists. It would almost be an impractical switch, well except for someone in your position.

You could always just set up the All-In-One on one of your computers and enable print sharing.

Many of us have looked for what you want and never found it. You can do the opposite of what you want - USB port to Parallel printer, but not the reverse.
