Hi,

I have a new Dell XPS 13 laptop that has a Thunderbolt 3 port, and no other display output ports. What adapter can I get to connect my monitor's miniDP 1.2 cable to it?

Thanks.

I'm pretty sure it'd take an adapter. What shape is the Thunderbolt 3 port? It should just be a USB-C connector, which would require an adapter to fit an mDP cable.

There looks to be a huge variety on amazon if you search for "usb-c to mini displayport", but I have no idea how to judge quality. Luckily I don't think that there's the same potential for problems as with legacy USB to USB-c cables, but there might be potential for problems.
