This has probably been asked before/shown on websites, so sorry.

I was wondering.
I have a fan with a 3 pin connector on the front of my case which I connected to the back of my motherboard(abit NF7) by cutting and splicing in extra wire. my problem is 2-fold

First, the fan spins the wrong way(blowing air out - not in)
Second, I would like to connect the fan to the molex connector(I don't care about monitoring the rpm :) ).

So, is there a way to connect a 3 pin fan to a molex connector, and reverse which way it spins all in one step?

Thanks!

The fan's motor can only spin one direction, so you'll want to remove it from its holder and flip it around. Here's an adapter that'll let you plug it into the Molex: link Just 49¢, too!

yup got a couple of those to run my panaflos. they work great but if your fan has a rpm wire (yellow) i don't think you are able to use it since it is not directly connected to the mobo.

Yes, Wampa, you don't get to monitor the speed of the fan when you plug it into the molex connector. Of course, I have seen a molex adapater that had an rpm lead that you could plug into the motherboard...

3 to 4 pin with rpm
