Hello Anandtech!
My stock TI4200 fan spins too fast (~5000 rpm) at all times. This creates noise when idle that is unnecessary. My proposed solution:
Hook up the fan to a MB fan header and contol its speed using Speedfan.
However, the fan has a 2-pin adaptor while the MB is a 3-pin socket. Proposed solution to that is to use a 2-pin to 3-pin adaptor. Leading to my question:
Will I be able to control the speed of the fan then?
Thanks,
CWF
