Connectify VS. Minecraft server

alright, here is the problem. I am running my windows 7 Desktop throught my laptop using a ethernet cable, and connectify is being used on the laptop. so that i may use the laptop's wireless capabilities on my desktop. this works very well for playing games and connecting to the internet/using it. however, i want to run a minecraft server for my friends top play on.. upon port-forwarding on the router, i can port-forward to the laptop since it is directly connected, but not to the desktop, and this causes the server not to be able to be connected to. i also do not want to run it on my laptop, so please dont reccomend that.. i know what the issue is, it is that by running through connectify i am running through a router before going to the actual router.. but maybe someone could help explain how to bypass that..
thanks,
Austin

You just have to set up port forwarding on both routers. (So, in Connectify.)

If it doesn't let you do that, it may be time to get a wifi adapter for the desktop machine. A little USB one is like $15.

yeah, i would have thought the same thing, however, the router in question os so far away that nothing but that laptop has been able to pick it up as i have tested. and the only way i have gotten it to do that is by careful positioning and good timing XD.. so thats out of the question otherwise i would use my ipod through PDAnet. which would work. thanks tho.
