Connect3d Radeon 9500 L RAM red pcb

This is the one that can be hacked right? What is newegg's return policy if the softmod doesn't work? Restocking fee?

yes, these are the ones that can be hacked. Newegg's return policy is pretty good. Restocking fee is about 15% but sometimes, they waive it for you if you have a valid reason.

I dont think that "no softmodding" is a valid reason though.

Anybody know how good they are and if they might have problems of other kinds. I mean so I can find a reasonable reason if any for a possible exchange. I'm hoping to exchange it if I can't get it to work until I can get one I can mod. I no it's bad which is why I am looking for amy other things that might normaly have problems so I can ask for a ligitimate replacement.

Thanks

lol...now thats bad.

well, you can always say that it is defective and get a replacement. They wont charge you any restocking fee for replacement. You can keep replacing untill you get a one that will mod successfully but YMMV and you may have to pay for return shipping.

I understand about the shipping but I think it is worth it to get a modable card. But I don't want to just just return it for no reason. I am a somewhat strange and honest person and somewhat lazy so if it works I might not even bother returning it. But if something realy bothers me about it then I can exchange it and feel fine about it.

Also is there a way to enalble the 256 bit bus but without the 8 pipelines enabled, so I can have at least some benefit from an L shaped PCB?

Anyone have an idea of how realistic this is? It seems that the softmoddable cards would have all been snatched up by now.

Connect3D is better known in UK/Europe and Asia. Since it is a relatively unknown co. in the US it got stuck with old inventory of 9500nps.

i have gotten two of the saphire 9500 np's from new egg, and one artifacts real bad (no mods nothing) and the other one has artifacted twice (I think this might have not beenthe card fault) and this is in two different computers mind you, luckily even OEM newegg allows RMA's for 1 year

I ordered one. It's the proper PCB, the memory chips are in the right spots for modding, and it's in a retail sealed box. I like my chances. Also, there's two reviews left from buyers who said it mods perfectly.
