I just got a Radeon 9600xt with S-video out and I want to connect it to my TV, using coaxial cable. The TV doesnt have s-video in but has RCA in. Coincidentally I already have coaxial running through the house, and the TV and comp are fairly far apart. Can I connect the PC to the TV using the coaxial? What do I need?

Just get an RF modulator from radio shack (about any electronics store) make sure it has s-video input so you don't have to use an adaptor. It will provide a coax out (I'm assuming you mean like standard cable TV line)

yea, you can get a decent rf modulator at walmart for $17-$20... It will allow you to pipe sound in to which is cool, I use this on my wifes machine so she can play emulator games on the tv

Is it possible to use a s-vhs to phono adapter cable to connect straight to the TV?

if by s-vhs you mean s-video then yes that should work. Of course it won't pipe out sound
