Too bad your just another blind liberal suffering from some of the worst BDS I've ever seen.

Bush has failed miserably as a president and is deserving of the criticism he's getting. If you can't see that it's you that is blind.

So we get that you don't like Bush, fair enough.

This thread is about the dismal, as in lower than even Bush's, approval rating of CONGRESS. Maybe you should start your own "I hate Bush" tooth gnashing thread to express your inner angst?

I wish I could remember where I read the study, but ANWR was supposed to make a difference. Turned out it was about 1 percent at most at it's very peak. Oils gotta go, and as long as we're diverted by it, nothing is getting better.

very small changes in the supply and demand for oil have traditionally lead to huge swings in the price. 1% would probably make a huge difference at this point. also, it signals to the speculators that something will be done.

Yay! Only took 6 posts to bring up Bush!

Every liberal knows that Bush is responsible for the horrible job that congress has done.

Well at least they can take solace in knowing that they didn't have the poor judgment to elect the worse President since Hoover..twice.

True enough, but they are still the ones reelecting some of the worst to Congress.

Everybody likes their guy but hates the other guys rep plus the Dems don't have that big or a majority in the house and only 1 more than the Pubs in the Senate so the disapproval spans both parties.

Congress is against America

Congress is against drilling, despite what Americans want.

Congress is for corporate bail out of the housing market, despite what Americans want.

Congress is for amnesty, despite what Americans want.

There's a reason it's spelled starting with CON.

And Congress is for zillions of things that Americans do want. What's your point? One of the biggest reasons we have a representative government is that what Americans want isn't always what's good for them.

Hey yuppiejr, Corbett, and blackangst... I replied to yuppiejr's post. You know, the one inferring Red Dawn is suffering from BDS? I bolded it to make it easier for you to read.

And it's real ironic being called a partisan hack by YOU guys. I was a registered (R) up until this year but nice try again. You can resume defending Bush's miserable performance with congress polls. Meh, whatever works for ya...

Congressional Approval Ratings are the joke. Ask anyone their opinion of Congress and you almost always get very low ratings. But ask anyone about their Senator or their Congressman, and the ratings are almost always high. Because they elected that schmuck so they don't want to take responsibility for him being a screw-up. But that guy from one state over, what a loser!

correct thread this time

Any of them who do things that directly affect our freedoms, or do things that their voters disagree with, need only bring up the really important issues come election time:
- gay marriage
- abortion
- say "God bless America" a lot
- say the phrase "tax cuts" a lot
- say "gas prices are too high" a lot

Bam, they're in again for another term.

Well Obama has been accused of sticking his finger in the air to determine which way the political wind is blowing unlike Methuselah..errr... McCain who's using his finger to massage his prostate.
