Details of the action

Which means that all friendly neighborhood citizens could leagally get some pretty nice toys.
I'm pretty proficient with an M-14 Rifle and the M-16 Assault Rifle.
I've always liked and respected the AK-47's, but don't know much about the Uzi which is quite the thing.
And then there's the Mac10 line, a blanket of lead at close range - amazing peice.

Now if there is going to be an expiration to the weapons ban, I want to get me one - or two.
Knowing that I'm out here in the real world, what do you think YOU want to have ?
and what should I have for myself ? ( I should have made a poll)

M-14 Rifle

M-16 Rifle

AK-47

Uzi

Mac10

Phaser

Dirty Bomb

Suicide Bomber Vest (I need a hug)

Vulcan M61 Chain Cannon
(on F-16 and many other flying machines)

OICW

If this silly ban expires, that does not mean that you will be able to get a fully auto weapon like the M16, only a semi auto that exhibits the banned characteristics like collapsable stock, flash suppressor , ect. If you wanted one of these today you simply buy one that was made before the 1994 ban and it is legal right now. The ban on fullauto weapons is a different thing all together. And if you want one of these, you can easily get one without a background check and very little redtape by simply forming a corporation for $99. Of course the weapon itself will run some fairly serious $$$ since an m16 starts at $5000 and goes up from there......

The ignorance over what constitutes an "assault rifle" is astounding.

It does not mean "fully auto."

In fact, all the assault rifles banned under the assualt weapon ban are mechanically no different than your average hunting rifle. They only look scarier.

I wouldn't mind trying my hand at an M-16 again, I mean one of the newer ones that isn't guaranteed to jam at the worst possible time like the originals. The only thing they were good for was opening beer cans with the three prong flash suppressor and even those were prone to coming loose and falling off.

Yeh, yeh, off topic.

Ooooooohhh....I can wear my custom embroidered Versace suicide bomber vest out in public now? Mine even has over 100 genuine rhinestones on it for the glitter effect on those "special" nights..

My only hope with this is that Ak's become affordable again. Ahh the days when you could pick up a milled reciever Ak for under 600$

The ban was stupid, you could still get all the same guns but with different stocks/supresors. Oh yeah and everyone jacked the price on them way up.

Stupid law to begin with. The term "assault rifle" was misused as a scare tactic. I used to get so pissed that theoretical rates of fire were quoted all of the time as proof of how awfull semiauto weapons were.

CaptnKirk

Uzises and Mac10s are not even rifles, they are machine pistols in the full auto version.

I believe there are a few miniguns out there that are actually transferable, meaning a private party can actually own one.......might cost you $150,000, but you could get one....:)

No, I do not take paypal

On a serious note, does the ban on "hi-cap" magazines expire anytime soon, or even at all?

Not unless you find one made prior to 1986. Generally, if it was owned by the US government, it is out as well, so you are pretty much SOL.

Besides, the M240 is where its at

Added the Vulcan M61 Chain cannon for those whose like the 'Rotary-Action'.
See link in first post block.

Put in the OICW for those who really play a lethal game of 'Tag- you're it'

It is my right to own any type of fireare I want, and if I am going duck hunting then I should be allowed to use a M-60 and motar tube if I want, those little quacks can be vicious.

The ban on hicap magazines is also part of this 1994 ban, so it should be going away as well........

aaahhh yes the "wisdom" of gun laws. There are two primary armed private groups in the US, criminals and law abiding owners. I have no problem with law abiding citizens having firearms, but fail to see how any law will stop a criminal from obtaining one outside the law, rumor has it criminals have this aversion to following laws, maybe that's reading a bit much into their label, but who knows. Law abiding citizens will not break the law, criminals will not abide them, so why make laws that attempt to curb the actions of criminals when they have already demonstrated the lack of effect on their decision making process. We should just shoot every one of them, lol.
