I have a solid credit history since i turned 18.

I'm 19 and a half now.. so.. I guess that 'history' of 18 months are paying off..

creditlimit is likely gonna be around $2000-3000.. given that my current limit on Visa is $1600

Hotdeals.. here I come :Q

If I'm not mistaken, don't you have to pay AMEX off every month? That's no fun!
Congrats!!

Strange....I jsut applied for one 15 minutes ago (after reading the thread in Hot Deals) And i was also approved. I got the same interest rate as you, but an $8600 limit. I'm also a college student.

Honestly, I thoguht I was gonna get rejected. I was happy though :)

$8600..

Now that I think about it, those 'approved' messages are temporary immediate responses from applying online, judging you from the info you typed in.

I think the actual evaluation takes place later more intensively.. full credit history, social security check and so on..

Even though you can be 'approved' like what the browser told you, You can still be rejected later on...

Well, they said they'd mail me a card in 7-10 days. They didn't say anything about "pending final approval" or anything like that.
