After 3 months of searching, the VP of our cost center finally gave me the words I have been waiting to hear..."Sometimes you get what you want, congratulations you're the new Controller". I almost lost it, because over the weekend I thought for sure I lost the position because a small typo I made on a schedule that got up to the CAO and VP of Ops and out external auditors.

Now, just to see what the raise is going to be......
