I seen that refresh rate problem in win2k so I just set it to 100hz in the display properties (after unchecking hide display modes it can't do) at 1280x1024 in windows because that's what I run. And when I try a higher resolution, it tries the highest refresh rate it can do, which is what I want it to do. And although it only goes to 100hz at lower resolutions even though it can do 160hz at 640x480 and 800x600, 100hz is fine.
But when I play Diablo 2 (640x480) or Tribes 2 (1024x768), it's back to 60hz. I seen where you edit the registry to change the values but I don't get what you change. And I've seen where you have to change it in two different spots in the registry ??.
Please clear this up. Thanks.
Oh yeah, this is a win2k problem right? Why the hell doesn't MS release a simple fix??
