confused

Burned out my 6600gt, been looking at the Radeon X800XL, but I just found the X800pro AGP for $206, the same card in PCIE is $253. The XL verision seems to be $280. My head hurts. Should I just jump on the pro verision, or go dig out my old FX5200?

The tubing to the waterbolck hit on the side panel and put enough pressure on it to lift one side just a tiny little bit (it's a two hole clamp, not a very firm mount). That screwed it up. Works perfect in 2d, 3d is pretty much screwed.

Not to split hairs, but the X800 XT PE and the X850 Pro positions should be reversed. The X800 XT PE has slightly faster memory clock 1.12GHz compared to 1.08GHz for the X850 Pro. The X800 XT PE also has 16 pipelines compared to teh X850 Pro's 12 pipelines. The engine clocks are the same (520MHz). Below is a link to a handy comparison chart minus the X800 SE. NOTE: All cards listed are PCI-E versions.

don't use the fx 5200, beleive me its crap. i am using one now, and it does not give good fps at any res but 640 by 480 or 800 by 600. get an x800xl, highly recomended.
