new to this new boards , my last board was a soyo dragon where it was pretty simple, i increase my fsb to 140 and my memory also went up to 140.
With this new board I am confused i set my fsb at 166 (so that the 1/5 divider kicks in) but there is an option to set the dram from 133 to 166.
I only have a crucial pc2100,
question 1: if i leave the dram at 133 will it go up to 166 when I increase my fsb to 166?
question2: are these new boards asynchronus, meaning no matter what fsb you use the dram will stay where you set them 133 or 166?
question 3: how are people getting there memory up to 170 to 200 when the choce for dram are only 133 or 166?
at the moment I have my xp1600 running at 10.5 x 166, and left my dram at 133, is there a way to see what memory speed you are running in windows (wcpuid or sandra?)
sorry for the newbie like question as mentioned these new boards are alien to me
