Question Confused regarding Xeon W3680 Upgrade

Scored an HP Z400 on Ebay for only $100. Works like a champ. Has Xeon W3680. It does run all my games with acceptable speeds (to me) but I was curious if there's any upgrade path at all.

looked up HP Z400 spec sheet and here's what they say:

• Intel Xeon W3503, 2.40 GHz, 4 MB cache, 1066 memory, 4.8GT/s QPI, Dual-Core
• Intel Xeon W3505, 2.53 GHz, 4 MB cache, 1066 memory, 4.8GT/s QPI, Dual-Core
• Intel Xeon W3520, 2.66 GHz, 8 MB cache, 1066 memory, 4.8GT/s QPI, Quad-Core, HT, Turbo
• Intel Xeon W3540, 2.93 GHz, 8 MB cache, 1066 memory, 4.8GT/s QPI, Quad-Core, HT, Turbo
• Intel Xeon W3570, 3.20 GHz, 8 MB cache, 1333 memory, 6.4GT/s, Quad-Core, HT, Turbo

Do you see a Xeon W3680 anywhere here? What gives? Is there more than one HP Z400 variation out there? Did the ebay dude somehow "hack" a W3680 in there? Highly unlikely since there lots of guys on youtube with this same exact CPU and PC combo. So what am I missing?

If I can upgrade, what can I upgrade to?

Just how fast is a W3680?

UserBenchmark: Intel Core i5-4690 vs Xeon W3680

User bench says it's as fast as a i5-4690, but that's probably BS. Which mainstream CPU has similar performance overall?

Not much more you can do as far as CPU wiht that HP, though you might be able to run a Xeon X5690. Not sure. I asssume that board won't OC either.

The CPUs you listed are all Bloomfiled (Nehalem architecture) CPUs, yours is a Gulftown (Westmere architecture) CPU. Both architectures are basically identical apart from the node shrink and the higher possible core count on Westmere.

On that socket this is almost the fastest CPU you can get, an upgrade wouldn't make much sense.
