Ok. I've got a wired router connected to my cable connection with multiple PC on the LAN side. The router has a dynamic IP on the public side and 192.168.1.1/255.255.255.0 on the inside. It's a DHCP server with 192.168.10-51 as the pool. I bought a wireless router because it was cheap and want to use it only as an AP. I set it up to use 192.168.1.100/255.255.255.0 on the public side and 192.168.2.1 on the private side and pointed it to the other router as the default gateway and DNS. This router is a DHCP server with 192.168.2.10-51 as the pool. The problem is that I want PCs connected to it to be on the same subnet as the rest of my PCs.
I then set the wireless router up to use 192.168.1.100/255.255.255.0 on the public side and 192.168.1.110/255.255.255.0 on the LAN side and told it not to serve DHCP addresses. Configured like this I could not connect through the wireless router to the rest of the network and/or internet. I'm thinking it's related to 2 routers on the same subnet?
What am I missing here?
Thanks.
