Conflict with sound card and NIC, need help

I have a SB Live! sound card, and everything works fine....but I'm trying to install a network card with generic drivers, and once it is installed, I don't get any sound. And if I try running winamp or mediaplayer, the computer locks up.

I thought they might be using the same IRQ or some other conflict, and the hardware manager says there are no problems, and they are using different IRQ's, but it says they are both on PCU Bus 2, does that matter, these are the only 2 PCI devices I have, so I don't know if they should be different.

I tried moving the NIC to a different PCI slot, and that didn't work. Then I reinstalled my SB Live drivers, that didn't work, with both cards installed I couldn't open SB Live Audio HQ, because it said I needed to reinstall drivers, so I reinstalled, that didn't work, but after taking the NIC out, AUDIO HQ works just fine.

So now I have taken out the NIC, and my sound works, but how do I get both to work at the same time? I've looked for readme files or something from SB from hardware issues, but couldn't find anything on my computer.

Any help greatly appreciated.

PCI bus 2, device 3, function 0

Does that mean its in slot 3? Its in the 3rd PCI slot from the bottom, so should I move it down one?

Thanks

Two things I can think of you can try:
1. Go into the BIOS and Reset ESCD (or however it is spelled) and then see if it fixes it.
2. Try moving the SB to a PCI spot lower than the NIC or vice versa if you already have it that way. Check it again.
